Symptom: In Windows 7 with HDMi my screen regularly goes blank for about 5 seconds once every 5 minutes. It has to be a driver issue because this is what I've found out while troubleshooting. I have similar problems while connecting the AOC external LCD with the dedicated Gigabyte Graphics card via HDMI. As of now the newest driver from Intel (ver 15.26.) does not fix this. After uninstalling Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver, HDMI would work. But after I restart, everything goes back to normal. So VGA and HDMI are selectable as different monitors in the relevant dropdowns. Strangely the HDMI cable starts working every time I re-install Intel VGA driver (the "ding-dong" sound), and is recognized in the device manager and display settings. I tried unplugging/replugging cables, reinstalling drivers (Intel Graphics HD 4000), but to no avail. After the "Starting Windows" screen the monitor complains "HDMI no signal". The monitor displays HDMI picture fine from boot-up (BIOS messages/settings) up until Windows 7 loads. Soon after I got my hands on an HDMI cable, I tried to replace the VGA one with it. Haven't tested another HDMI-HDMI cable, but I'm pretty sure at this point that it's not the cable, either my laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad Y460) or my monitor.I have an Asus 247H monitor which I hooked up to a Gigabyte motherboard's (GA-Z77-D3H) on-board VGA port at first. I've tried my roommate's VGA-VGA cable with no luck, also. It's been about an hour now and it still hasn't turned back on. Tonight I'm updating the driver on my video card, a Radeon Mobility HD 5650 when my monitor goes blank again with a "HDMI NO SIGNAL" - I try the usual, replacing cables, fiddling with monitor settings, nothing.
After over 20 minutes of fiddling with the cord again it doesn't work, try a VGA - VGA cable, works fine for another two weeks or so, takes a shit again - replace it with the HDMI - HDMI cable, works fine. Just think 'np' and continue playing.Ībout two weeks later, it takes a shit again. About 20 minutes later after plugging it in and out again a few times it randomly turns back on.
Hey, I'm having a similar issue, can anyone here help? I've had an asus ms246h for about 3 years with an HDMI - HDMI cable without any problems until recently - was in the middle of a game of LoL when my monitor just went blank with a 'HDMI NO SIGNAL' and a blue screen before switching to black again.
